Is the recruitment industry dysfunctional?

The recruitment industry, worldwide, is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. On a daily basis recruiters interact with hundreds of millions of candidates, applicants and clients – and manage to do so without a single, tangible product changing hands.

This gives rise to some unusual behaviours which have become entrenched in the industry – to the cost of staff, managers and business owners.

We asked Greg Savage to detail some of the odder parts of the recruitment industry and his approach to overcoming the challenges these present.
