Grevillea ’26: More automation. More flexibility. Less friction.

CATEGORY

Manual timesheet handling. Rigid invoicing structures. Complex compliance processes that are difficult to scale.

2cloudnine’s new release, Grevillea ’26, is designed to remove these friction points across the entire payroll workflow. It’s about eliminating inefficiencies that can compound across every pay run.

Take manual admin out of timesheet processing

For many payroll teams, timesheets are still where the process breaks down.

Grevillea ’26 introduces a more intelligent approach that reduces reliance on manual handling. Users can now take a photo of a timesheet captured on a mobile phone and automatically extract data using AI. That data is matched to the correct assignments and validated against calendar rules, avoiding errors  before issues impact payroll.

It’s a handy move towards a more automated, exception-based workflow.

Handle complex billing structures

One of the most persistent limitations in payroll has been billing flexibility.

Previously, a single account could only support one invoice configuration. For organisations managing multiple billing structures, that meant compromise or workarounds.

Grevillea ’26 removes that constraint.

With Invoice Settings Template Groups, multiple invoice configurations can now sit under a single account, each with its own logic for grouping, entities, and payment terms.

The result is simple: billing structures that reflect how your business actually operates day to day.

Spend less time managing STP and ATO processes

Compliance doesn’t have to mean manual effort.

Grevillea ’26 introduces bulk STP response retrieval, making it possible to manage multiple lodgements in a single action rather than working through them one by one. A dedicated view surfaces exactly which submissions are still awaiting ATO responses, making it easier to prioritise and act.

It’s a small shift in experience, but a significant reduction in effort at scale.

Bring ATO payments into the payroll workflow

Another long-standing gap has been ATO payments sitting outside the payroll process.

Grevillea ’26 closes that gap.

PAYG and STSL payments can now be included directly in ABA payment files during pay batch processing, removing the need for separate compilation and handling. Payment data flows through clearly, with improved visibility into totals and breakdowns.

It’s one less process to manage, and one less opportunity for error.

Improve accuracy where it matters most

Allowance calculations are now more precise, ensuring transactions are generated only against the correct assignments. Quantity-based allowances are automatically derived from hours worked, removing manual input.

Exit calculations now inherit the correct costing and general ledger mappings by default, eliminating the need for post-processing adjustments.

These improvements remove hours of reconciliation work downstream.

Built for real-world workforce complexity

Payroll rarely operates in neat, predictable patterns, and Grevillea ’26 reflects that.

Field Service integrations now support automatic approval of timesheets, allowing processing to move forward without delay. Complex scenarios like sleepover shifts that cross timesheet periods are handled correctly, without manual correction.

Overnight interpretation is now supported across hourly rules, aligning system logic with how work actually happens.

The platform is no longer forcing edge cases into standard rules. It’s adapting to them.

A better experience for employees and admins

Employees can now view pay advices in a fully mobile-optimised format, consistent with other self-service experiences. At the same time, enhanced data controls ensure community users only see what they need, strengthening security without adding friction.

It’s a quieter set of changes, but one that improves everyday usability across the platform.
