What’s your role?
I’m the Head of AI Engineering here at 2cloudnine. I manage a team of consultants and engineers to deliver technical solutions for our customers and partners.
Having been at 2cloudnine from the beginning, I’ve built a lot of the systems internally from the ground up and I still manage a lot of them. That foundation is central to my work on 2IQ, our MCP offering.
2IQ is an intelligence layer above our Salesforce-native platform that enables AI agents to interact with the Salesforce infrastructure. It gives AI models the context and tools to be able to seamlessly take meaningful actions.
What’s your favourite part of your role?
I love solving hard problems with creative technical solutions. The harder the problem the better. I love the problem solving aspect as it means you’re adding value to our customers, partners and internally in the organisation – that’s a massive win.
I’ve also hired a lot of people and mentored them over the years. Fortunately we have a really long tenure among the staff here, so a lot of them are either still in my team or in the organisation. So having a direct or indirect role in guiding them on their path and seeing them be so successful is really awesome.
What’s the most exciting thing coming up for 2cloudnine and for the sector?
I’m super excited about AI and where it’s taking us. I feel so invigorated by it sometimes I lose sleep thinking about all the possibilities!
I’m so excited about it because of all the ideas it can unlock. I’m most fired up about 2IQ at the moment, because I’ve seen firsthand how it has transformed my work – I know the power and capability of it. And I know that once it’s in the hands of others, the possibilities are endless. So delivering that internally and receiving all the feedback has been incredible.
The amount of people who have reached out to me personally and said “2IQ has absolutely changed the way I work” has been overwhelming.
What do you love most about 2cloudnine?
It’s been a wild but incredibly enriching journey at 2cloudnine over the past 16 years. I feel grateful to have worked alongside Adam, our CEO, and Rob, our former Director, who have provided invaluable guidance and the freedom to learn.
I’ve always been very passionate about creating and building; so to have the opportunity to build, explore, and create prototypes, and then to see them come to fruition and become widely used is very rewarding.
2IQ is a perfect example of that. The offering is a culmination of the last six years of exploration, effort and learning – it’s not something that just happened overnight. The fact that it’s helping our internal team to deliver support and investigate problems is really satisfying. And now that we’re introducing it to our clients, it’s incredibly exciting to see them begin to understand how it can transform their business.
And what do you like to do outside of work?
I was a very passionate cyclist for many years. But more recently my focus has been on my young kids and work. When I’m not spending time with my family, I’m focusing on building things using AI.
My partner and I recently built an app called Mental which was designed to reduce mental load for young families – it was basically task automation to distribute that mental load. So, I’m just always exploring the latest technology and building prototypes.
It’s great to have you on the team, Jesse!
